Mr. Moeez Malik
IoT and Embedded System Lead
Moeez Malik received his B.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST). He has been part of the IoT Lab, SEECS since January 2019 and has worked on the hardware part of all major projects under development in the Lab. He has also helped improve the ability to readily prototype hardware components by setting up rapid PCB prototyping area in the lab. His areas of interest are Internet of Things, Sensors and Embedded Hardware Integration.
Mr. Usama Shujaat
Embedded System Engineer
Usama Shujaat received his B.E degree in Electrical Engineering from NUST School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences in 2018. He is currently pursuing an M.S degree in Electrical Engineering from SEECS. His research focused on developing the Internet of things solutions for collecting data from different types of sensors and store it in the cloud for further processing. He is more inclined towards hardware development and cloud computing.
Mr. Hamza Khurshid
Software developer
Hamza Khurshid is a software developer who has been working in the domains of IoT and ML for three years. He has worked as an assistant researcher for IoT Lab at NUST-SEECS, and as a visiting researcher for the German Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), Germany. His expertise lies in cloud frameworks, IoT networks, machine learning, data science, and mobile development.
MS. Uferah Shafi
AI and Machine Learning Lead
Uferah Shafi holds a BSc. degree in Mathematics from Bahauddin Zikariya University, Multan, Pakistan and MSc degree in Information Technology from Quaidi- Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan. She completed her MS in Computer Science from COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Islamabad, Pakistan. Currently, she is doing PhD from School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, NUST, Pakistan, Her key research areas are Deep Learning, Remote Sensing, Image Processing and Internet of Things (IoT).
Mr. Maaz Bin Tahir Saeed
AI and Machine Learning Solution Developer
Maaz Bin Tahir Saeed is currently pursuing his B.E degree in Software Engineering at SEECS, NUST (Class of 2022). He has professional development experience in web and mobile software by working with diverse startups ranging from education to tourism. He is a DevOps enthusiast and an open source contributor to Julia (language for numerical analysis and computational sciences) at Github. He is currently exploring his research interests mainly in the domains of deep learning and scientific machine learning.

Mr. Naveed Iqbal
Software Developer
Naveed Iqbal received his B.S. degree in Information Technology from National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Pakistan, in 2011. He is currently pursuing his Master’s degree at NUST with major in Image Processing and Remote sensing domain. He has previously worked in industry as Senior Software Developer, and led the team for Android and iPhone Application development. His research interests include deep learning, remote sensing and image processing for crop classification / health monitoring.
Mr. Abdul Aziz Chaudhry
Hardware Developer
Abdul Aziz Chaudhry is currently a student of Undergraduate and is pursuing his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from SEECS, National University of Sciences and Technology, Islamabad. His expertise is in basically hardware development and programming of these components. He has worked as an intern in IoT lab and is currently working as a Research Assistant.
